4. Deployment

The KatApp backend must be deployed in order to use it.

The architecture of the KatApp backend makes it possible to deploy the backend either natively, in a Docker container or as FaaS on AWS.

Note

For operation, we recommend deploying as FaaS on AWS for the best scaling and availability. In addition, this is the only place where the necessary infrastructure for the dashboard (webserver), etc. is automatically created.
